#UMassGives 2017

Sorry, that’s quite the mouthful: WMBC for short. We are a brand new RSO here at UMass Amherst and are thrilled to find the same enthusiasm on campus as we feel for the focus of our thriving club, bouldering. For those who don’t know, bouldering is a fun, challenging climbing sport that involves strength, technique, and no ropes!

Since we are a new group, our funding is sadly limited for the many already-dedicated members who’ve joined our growing community over the last semester. That’s where you step in! Friends, family, climbers - every donation made will go towards the development of our group so that our members are safe and active, and that WMBC remains accessible to those interested! 

Some specific items we are raising funds for:

• Crash pads (because we do boulder outdoors - without ropes - this is a must)
• Climbing shoes (rentals are expensive, we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to climb) 
• First aid kits
• Financially viable training space (at Central Rock Climbing Gym)
