WHO:
The UMass Amherst Student Nurses Association (SNA) develops future nursing leaders through professional development opportunities, student support, and community involvement.
WHAT:
Sending dedicated members to the National Student Nursing Association Annual Convention has been one of the most beneficial and rewarding opportunities the SNA provides.
Through the NSNA Annual Conventions, students:
- Learn about cutting edge advancements in clinical practice
- Meet the top practitioners in the field
- Network with competitive hospitals and advanced degree programs
- Attend presentations about how to strengthen their own chapters
- Obtain the best study tips for our licensure exam
Not only do attending students benefit, but they bring their knowledge, tips, and advice to other College of Nursing students.
WHY WE NEED HELP NOW:
UMass Amherst’s representation at the NSNA Annual Convention is in jeopardy. University-wide budget cuts are affecting every program, including nursing. We are working hard to stretch out resources to ensure our students have access to all of the best resources, but we could use your help.
By investing in our student nurses, you are investing in the future of the nursing practice as a whole.
