Our students are the future of the public health and health science workforce. They’re eager, hard-working, and yearn to make a social impact. But typically, only 43% of our students participate in internships, most of which are unpaid. We also know that financial burden plays a key role in why many students are unable to take part in these experiences.
This UMassGives, we're uniting to make these opportunities accessible to all students, regardless of their financial situation. Our alumni report that the hands-on educational experiences they received through community- and industry-based internships had a transformative effect on their lives and careers for years after graduation. So please consider lending your support and helping our incredible students get the experience they need to be successful in the ever-competitive job market.
