Twenty years ago, Ben and Joyce Smar established The Joyce E. & Benedict J. Smar Endowment for Angel Tickets because it was their firm belief that arts and cultural experiences should be accessible to all.

For more than 20 years this program has awarded nearly 1,000 complimentary tickets annually to the clients of local nonprofit, human-service organizations. It is our mission to make arts and cultural experiences accessible to all.

Make this opportunity possible with a UMassGives gift to the Fine Arts Center’s Angel Ticket program.

During this UMassGives Campaign, Ben has made a challenge gift in Joyce’s memory in hopes of inspiring you to join him in building that endowment.

With his challenge gift, your contribution will be doubled to provide even greater access to national and international touring artists for our neighbors whose financial and social realities otherwise prohibit them from experiencing these extraordinary performances.

FAC Board Member Tanya Fuller has made a Power Hour challenge to further support the Fine Arts Center’s Angel Tickets Smar Endowment. During this Power Hour, the first $1,000 will be matched by Tanya and all contributions will be applied toward our Power Hour gift count! The Smar Angel Tickets Endowment provides direct support for complimentary/discounted tickets to local area schools, nonprofits, and human-service organizations. We support Arts access for all!
