Paperbark is an interdisciplinary literary magazine managed and run by UMass Amherst graduate students! We publish a biannual print and digital magazine whose content is motivated by a desire to trace the connections between science, art, and the environment. We publish emerging and acclaimed creators in their respective fields, highlighting work that engages meaningfully with environmental themes. Rooted in stewardship and creative possibility, Paperbark gathers stories of ecologies in crisis — as well as stories of life’s flourishing intricacies.
Paperbark is currently seeking funds to publish our fourth print issue. The issue will be printed by Marquis, a Canadian printing company that offers 100% recycled paper and ethically sourced ink. We are excited to not only be publishing work that champions the importance of environmental engagement but also to be able to exemplify that ideology through printing an environmentally conscious magazine.
We are so thankful for any financial gift you are able to make to support this endeavor, as Paperbark relies on the generosity of those who believe in our mission and artistic goals.
