Filipino Student Association

Last semester, a small part of UMass’ Filipino community came together and formed the first-ever registered Filipino cultural group on campus, the UMass Amherst Filipino Student Association. Since then, we have only continued to grow, hosting cultural and informative events that have gathered large crowds and participants such as a Craft Night, Peer mentoring program, and collabs with other RSOs like UMass TCSA and PSO. All we need now is continued support. One of our main goals for the proceeds we raise is to establish a scholarship fund for incoming Filipino/Filipino American students. Further, we want to be able to share our rich heritage with the community by hosting our own Philippine Cultural Night, as well as creating a tinikling/traditional dance team here at UMass. And while these are our hopes, your donations will go towards much more. By participating in FSA’s UMassGives campaign, you are helping uplift student voices and are supporting a community that is proud to represent diverse and beautiful people.
