Hillel and Jewish life at UMass has a rich history on campus - from the “Menorah Club” in the 1930s, which became associated with Hillel in 1942, to the days of Rabbi Perlmutter’s office in the campus center, to the transformation of a frat house into the Harold Grinspoon Hillel House in 1990, to our multi-faceted vibrant Jewish community of today that engages over 1,200 students annually!
UMass Hillel is proud to empower students to explore and express their roots, support them with a caring community, and contribute value to the campus at large with award-winning programming. Your support helps support this important work and enables us to provide welcoming, safe and inclusive spaces for all students to engage in social, cultural, educational, and religious Jewish experiences during their stay at UMass.
Great news! The first $2,500 in gifts made to Hillel will be matched $1:$1, made possible by Steve and Risa Aronson (class of '75)
