Advancing Research for the Health and Well-Being of Families
The Center for Research on Families (CRF) contributes to innovative and evidence-based solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing families today. Through mentoring, workshops, and scholarships, CRF prepares faculty and student researchers to address issues such as:
- Cannabis use decision making during pregnancy and lactation
- Aging and emotional well being
- Barriers to accessing prenatal care
- Racial, socioeconomic, and sexual minority health disparities
- Trauma interventions for incarcerated youth
- Ethnic differences in parenting and child functioning
- Sexuality and gender education and empowerment programs for youth
- Neurobiological underpinnings of maternal behavior
- Age-related changes in sleep-dependent learning.
