The Institute of Diversity Sciences is a multidisciplinary unit that brings together faculty, students, and staff from across UMass and the Five College Consortium to:
• Promote science, technology, and engineering discoveries that benefit social justice
• Nurture the success of diverse students in STEM to grow the next generation of scientists, engineers, and technologists in the nation
• Connect scientific research to social impact in local, national, and international communities through public engagement and outreach.
Faculty, students, and staff in our institute use STEM to promote equity in health and learning outcomes, and mitigate the impact of climate change on communities.
