From teammates who have played on the U24 and U20 USA teams to ultimate Hall of Fame coaches, we are a group of (usually) talented players and (very) talented coaches, and we are shooting our shot to claim our spot at Nationals among the best college ultimate teams in the country. We are currently ranked third in the nation and have gone to Nationals every year since 2015. Throughout the spring, we have several tournaments that are typically in faraway places not under a foot of snow with a few inches of ice.
Add in the fact that Nationals are in Austin, Texas this year, and we are looking at an outlandish wad of cash to fork over for just frisbee. As a club sport, we receive little funding from UMass, so we are on our own to cover our expenses as a team. Please donate whatever you feel comfortable with, but, we have another plan…
Besides enjoying throwing discs to each other (or to the ground), we like to spend some quality brother time as a team in our community. One of our favorite places to volunteer is Brookfield Farm, a local community supported farm that provides fresh food and education to the Amherst area for over 30 years!
So, we thought, “why not combine our need for funding for Frisbee with our love of sorting potatoes?”. For each $10 you donate, a team member will spend another hour of volunteering at the farm. So, you donate $100, we give 10 hours at the farm! We are a team that is more than 25 strong, so we are up for the challenge and will complete every single hour of time—with pictures!
We strive to be the pride of UMass Amherst and we deeply appreciate your support as we try to be the best we can be, on and off the field. Any support is greatly appreciated, and no donation is too small!
