Hello everyone! We are UMass Archery, a student organization committed to providing the opportunity for students to practice archery through running a safe range on campus.
We recognize that archery is an expensive sport, and we want to give everyone - from beginners to experts - the chance to try it out and develop their skills without financial burden. Therefore, we supply all equipment for members, unless they want to bring their own. Over many years of use, a lot of our equipment has gotten worn out and is in dire need of replacement. This includes frayed bow strings, arrows missing fletchings, targets that are falling to pieces, and broken bows.
Furthermore, every semester the club has grown. To accommodate for the influx of beginners, we aim to get more bows that are easy to pull back, as many of our current bows cater to more experienced members with higher draw weights.
We are also focused on taking our club to the next level through joining USA Archery, giving us the ability to compete and represent UMass at local, state, and national tournaments. Your contribution will help immensely with our goal to bring archery to the campus - with safe, new equipment and opportunity for students to compete and record their achievements on a national level.
