CMASS

The Center for Multicultural Advancement and Student Success (CMASS) supports the student success and sense of belonging of first-generation, students of color, multiracial students, and low-income students.  CMASS fosters support through Success Coaching, Graduate School Preparation, and social engagement. If you have been part of CMASS or one of its previous affinity programs such as C.C.E.B.M.S., the Bilingual Collegiate Program, Native American Student Support Services or the United Asian Learning Resource Center, then join us today and tomorrow to help us fundraise to support our student needs!

This year, for the first time, CMASS will be fundraising to create a Student Support Fund that will provide awards for underrepresented students with financial needs for books, graduate school preparation materials, professional development opportunities, and so much more.

  • Success Coaching is a service offered to undergraduate students affiliated with CMASS. Coaching is an asset-based model of identifying goals and action plans to accomplish academic and personal aspirations. Students meet with their success coach as many times as needed for ongoing support and referrals.
  • Each One Reach One Mentoring Program provides a cohort of up to twenty students with mentorship in pursuing graduate school. Students in this program participate in writing workshops, network with graduate students and receive feedback on their admission application materials
  • Racial Justice Coalition formerly known as Stand Against Racism is a weekly gathering of like-minded individuals seeking to engage in dialogue and action to promote racial equity.
  • Cultural Connections happens every year on the first Thursday of the fall semester to welcome students to campus. This event features cultural food samples, entertainment, raffles and networking with faculty, staff, and campus resources
