Department of Classics
With your help, the UMass Classics MAT program will provide scholarships for professional development for current MAT students during the summer between the two years of our program. Your donations will enable these hard-working teachers-in-training the opportunity to participate in programs in Europe and the United States. As you know, it is one thing to study the ancient world and yet another thing to see the ancient sites for yourself. Trips like this will better enable our future teachers to take their own students to ancient sites. Plus, MAT students will have greater access to the many Latin-teacher-oriented opportunities now available throughout the United States every summer. Your donation will make this possible, and we thank you for your support!
