UMass Irish Dancing provides a place where both the Irish dancing community and students in the Five College Consortium community can express themselves through choreographed dancing and pursue their prior- or continuing- dedication and interest in Irish Dancing.
We are participating in a Power Hour challenge on April 30th from 2:00-3:00 pm! You can donate to us on this page, during this time, and if our group gets the most gifts from unique donors (not the highest dollar amount) we get a $2000 bonus on top of the money we already raised. If you can not donate during this time, you can donate anytime starting April 29th at 12:01 am EDT and ending April 30th at 11:59 pm EDT. We will still keep these donations, they just will not apply to the competition.
Last year we won our power hour! We raised almost $4,000 from donations and our $2,000 bonus. This was huge for our group, as we were a new club at UMass and had no prior money raised yet. We thank everyone who helped us win this competition! From your donations, we were able to travel to Villanova to compete in the Intercollegiate Irish Dance Festival, where we had one of our teams place 6th out of 52 teams.
We hope to raise money this year from UMass Gives and win another power hour in order to compete again in Philadelphia next year at the Intercollegiate Irish Dance Festival. We also hope to save up for future shows, costumes, and apparel. We greatly appreciate any and all donations. Thank You!
