Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers is a national organization which aims to change lives by empowering the Hispanic/Latinx community to realize their fullest potential and impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development. Our student chapter at UMass Amherst aims to do just that with our community. We hope to provide internship opportunities to our members, as well as being able to network with past established alumnus, make connections at top end companies, and create a family that will stick together even after graduation comes. We also reach out to the surrounding communities in order to show emerging Hispanic/Latinx kids that it is possible to be successful in a STEM field.
