The UMass Amherst Poll (UMASS Poll) combines cutting edge online polling with academic and professional expertise in the science of politics and is led by a team of researchers with extensive academic and professional experience and expertise in local, state, and national politics. This expertise helps the team to provide accurate snapshots of citizen’s attitudes, beliefs, and vote intentions in order to better understand future trends, both in the Commonwealth and around the country.
The UMASS Poll fielded national surveys, surveys and exit polls of Massachusetts and New Hampshire voters, and polled residents of the Boston metropolitan area. The results of these polls have been featured in prominent local, state, and national media outlets, including WGBH, WBZ Radio and News, The Boston Globe, MSNBC, Politico, CNN, and the Washington Post.
The UMass Poll is Directed by Dr. Tatishe Nteta with the assistance of Associate Directors Dr. Raymond La Raja, Dr. Jesse Rhodes, and Dr. Alexander Theodorisis.
The UMASS Poll will use your support to provide research and educational opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students interested in polling and American Politics. The UMASS Poll supports students in the Undergraduate Research Education program (UREP) and graduate fellows and informs undergraduate and graduate education. Moreover, the UMASS Poll will use donor support to facilitate additional polling and poll analysis to increase understanding of public voting behavior and public opinion and to provide the most relevant and accurate polling information possible.
