Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Brothers and Sisters in Christ or B.A.S.I.C is a non-denominational campus ministry that has been a part of the UMass community since 1993. Our mission is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the students on the UMass Amherst campus as well as surrounding areas, like the Five Colleges. We want to see many souls being saved and won over to God's kingdom, and want to help individuals that already have a relationship with Christ foster relationship growth. Our most frequent events include Sunday services twice a month and weekly Bible study and prayer meetings where we can have fellowship as a group and learn more about the word of God. We welcome people of all backgrounds and are open to sharing the Gospel with anyone.

Donations through UMass Gives will go towards our two major annual events that will take place in the next academic year. The first is our Royal Ball where we showcase the talents of those both on our campus and anyone in the surrounding area willing to participate. These talents include singing, dancing, spoken word, playing an instrument, and more. The event also gives us the chance to dress up, enjoy a catered meal, and spend time with each other for a night of fun! The second event is the UMass Gospel Concert that is a collaboration event with our sister organization, the UMass Gospel Choir. This event features the UMass Gospel Choir and B.A.S.I.C's Worship Team. We also invite a Gospel headlining artist and people from the UMass community or surrounding areas to perform as well. This night offers an opportunity for anyone to come worship, listen to great music, and have fun! These events are open to everyone and are opportunities to be in fellowship with one another while also in the presence of God.

We appreciate any support as we strive to make our events impactful to the UMass community and more. Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and may God bless!
