The UMass Amherst chapter of Leading Women of Tomorro
w is a bi-partisan organization with the intention of addressing gender gaps in legislatures and public service. The goal of this club is to create an activism organization for students to utilize to advocate for women, minority groups, and issues relevant to the mission of the National organization. In the FY23, we are hoping to lead an open event where female business owners in the area come and speak to our members. While this will be an informative event that we hope will empower our members to take charge in their space, we hope that this event will also serve as a celebration of the powerful and successful women in the Pioneer Valley.
Our goal is to invite five different women to speak at this event, paying them $200 for their time each. Therefore, $200x5 = $1000. As an intersectional organization, we welcome people of all genders and backgrounds in an effort to create a more diverse and representative generation of leaders!
