Finance Department

Your gift to the Isenberg Finance Department will help us improve the world-class education and student experience we deliver to our Finance majors. The Finance major continues to being the most popular major in Isenberg with the class of 2023 being the largest ever to graduate this spring. Our outcomes continue to be excellent with the Finance majors being offered an average starting salary of almost $76K in 2022. To cater to our students, we have introduced new electives, and increased the size of our faculty by successfully recruiting three outstanding faculty in the current academic year.

UMassGives is a two-day event when alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends inspire and encourage each other to give to the Finance Department at Isenberg. Our goal is to break our pre-pandemic record of 150 gifts and raise $10,000 over these two days. With your help we are confident we can achieve this goal!

Isenberg School of Management $125,000 Challenge!

For every $25,000 raised in support for the school, Jim ’74, ’76 MBA and Paula Buonomo will generously contribute $25,000 to the Buonomo Finish Line Fund, up to a total of $125,000! The Buonomo Finish Line Fund helps Isenberg seniors graduate when they experience unexpected financial obstacles in their senior year. Jim and Paula have also included an additional gift in their estate that will bring the Buomono Finish Line Fund to $500,000!

Isenberg School of Management $250,000 STUDENT Challenge

Last year 100 Isenberg students participated in UMassGives. This year, Sandy Barbour '83 MS is challenging students to hit new giving records. When 125 students give back, Sandy will generously contribute $250,000 to prepare women for careers in the sport and entertainment industry!

When the Isenberg community makes 500 gifts to the school, it will unlock $250,000 generously contributed by Paul '66 SBS and Gail McDonald, and once we hit our 1,000-gift goal an additional $250,000 will be unlocked, totaling $500,000 for the Paul J. and Gail M. McDonald Endowed Faculty Fellowship!
