The UMass iCons Program’s mission is to inspire a diverse generation of innovators with the attitudes and skills needed to solve the problems facing our world.
iCons students come from almost 45 majors within the College of Natural Sciences, College of Engineering, School of Public Health and Health Sciences, Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences, BDIC, and Isenberg School of Management. Although the students come from different disciplines and backgrounds, ALL iCons students are highly motivated, excited by research, and want to help solve BIG societal problems.
“iCons taught me skills that were absent from the rest of my education, like how to work well in teams or write about science for diverse audiences.”
You can help ensure a brighter future for tomorrow by investing in iCons today. There are two options to support iCons:
• Current iCons students (including our graduating seniors!) ~ we ask you to support the Crowley-Nowick Scholarship which goes to a rising iCons 2 student.
• Our general iCons fund supports programmatic needs such as funding student research, workshops, and scholarships for students.
Consider supporting iCons during the 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Power Hour on April 27 to help us win an additional $2,000.
Thank you! Your investment in iCons is an investment in the future of both future innovators AND real-world solutions. Inspire others and share why you gave on social media. Thank you!
