Civic Engagement and Service-Learning (CESL)
Support Community Engagement!

Civic Engagement and Service-Learning (CESL) offers courses and programs that engage with communities in collective learning and work for a more just world.

Your gift to CESL supports engagement with communities that has impacts in Western Massachusetts, the Commonwealth, and beyond.

This semester, students in CESL programs—including The Boltwood Project, Community Scholars Program (CSP),  IMPACT, and the Civic Engagement and Public Service Certificate–are partnering with communities to:

  • Create a disability studies curriculum for elementary school children.
  • Expand access to public transportation for unhoused people.
  • Create a user-interactive technology model to aid older caregivers who work with adults with dementia to reduce the often heavy burden and burnout that caregivers face.

These are just a few examples of CESL students’ commitment to working for a more just world.

Resources for transportation to local community partners and community-engaged summer internships/projects are needed to support them.

Your contribution of any size makes a big difference in our work.

Thank you!
