40th Anniversary Jazz in July Summer Music Program Scholarships
Mark this joyous milestone with a gift for a Jazz in July student scholarship. Your support will provide much-needed scholarship funds for aspiring jazz musicians. Talent and financial-based awards are offered. The FAC’s Jazz in July Summer Music Program, now in its 40th year, hosts nearly eighty students each summer for an intensive week of study with the country’s top jazz artists and educators. Many can attend only with the help of scholarship awards from our generous donors.
UMCA’s New Initiative to Diversify Its Permanent Collection
Your gift will support the University Museum of Contemporary Art’s (UMCA) new initiative to build and diversify its permanent collection to include more works by artists of color and women artists; reflecting its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. UMCA’s permanent collection is central to the museum’s mission of object-based learning and is a stimulus for interdisciplinary teaching and learning for UMass faculty, students, and staff, as well as visitors.
Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Augusta Savage Gallery (ASG)
With your gift to Augusta Savage Gallery, you support its continued work with exhibitions such as “Breathing While Black” and JuPong Lin’s "Poetics of Repair—Being Earth, Being Water." Your gift also provides resources for ASG’s permanent collection.
Named in honor of acclaimed sculptor Augusta Savage and housed in UMass’ New Africa House, Augusta Savage Gallery (ASG) is a multicultural and multi-arts facility. Now, celebrating its 50th anniversary, ASG is committed to exhibitions selected for their ability to enlighten the viewer on such issues as race, ethnicity, class, and cultural identity.
