UMassGives 2021

The Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) is the first stop for all Established Organizations’ (ESOs) questions and support. The SORC is staffed by students trained in skills to support ESO’s and their members when it comes to their organizational development and their event logistics and risk management plan. Many of the student staff members and leaders of ESO’s themselves and have firsthand knowledge of what is needed to function as an ESO here at UMass. The staff has been trained this year to effectively guide all ESO’s with virtual programming due to the transitory nature of the past semester. The SORC has made it a priority to ensure that all of the same services are available to students despite the different circumstances. We are looking to raise funds for our summer payroll hours to support and create accessibility to student leaders who need access to the resources provided by the SORC. This is beneficial as it will allow student groups to meet organizational development and event management expectations for the next academic year (i.e Moodle training, service requests, and payments, access to Student Activities and Involvement advisors, and Business Center Account Specialists).
