The mission of iCons is to produce a diverse generation of leaders in science and technology with the attitudes, knowledge, and skills needed to solve the inherently multi-faceted problems facing our world.
iCons students come from more than two dozen different majors within the College of Natural Sciences, College of Engineering, Public Health, College of Information and Computer Sciences, and in 2020 welcomed students from Isenberg School of Management. Although different disciplines, ALL students in iCons are highly motivated, excited by scientific research, and want to help solve big scientific AND societal problems.

This year during UMass Gives, there is a friendly competition amongst the iCons community – alumni vs. students. Whether you chose to support the alumni or the current students, all donations support this life-changing program.
