The ACS PMSE/POLY Student Chapter is a new GSO on campus affiliated with the American Chemical Society. As a fully student-run organization, our goal is to develop a diverse network of student scientists interested in polymer science. We encourage graduate students to practice communicating their science, provide opportunities to enhance professional development skills through invited lectures from industrial and academic scientists, and host events focused on enhancing inter-departmental and inter-university collaborations and interactions. We invite student members from all polymer-related science and engineering disciplines to join our student chapter. In addition, we strive to offer opportunities for students to become connected with national and local ACS PMSE and POLY activities to broaden their scientific network and knowledge. We are proud to be one of the prestigious PMSE/POLY Student Chapters nationwide and to be part of the rich community of polymer scientists!
Your donations through the UMass Gives program will allow us to continue serving the UMass community through the events outlined above. Specifically, we aim to connect students with renowned international scientists through a student-hosted seminar series, as well as to provide travel support for students wishing to attend regional and national ACS meetings. Besides supporting current graduate students, we believe strongly in encouraging and equipping the next generation of diverse polymer scientists. Your donations will be used to support polymer science outreach programs to K-12 students as well as to invest in developing new collaborations with local K-12 schools and programs.
We appreciate any support you are able to provide, thank you for supporting our PMSE/POLY Student Chapter!
