Our mission is to empower women investors and build a network consisting of professionals and alumni in the industry as well as with other chapter members across the nation. In the past, we have hosted networking conferences at our university and networking trips to Boston and New York. Our leadership team is responsible for reaching out to different firms and coordinating panelists to speak at these conferences. The previous networking conferences have been very successful and we’ve gotten a lot of engagement from students and alumni.
For the Boston and New York networking trips we got to hear from panelists from firms such as JPMorgan, Citi, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, RBC, Cowen, etc. Being able to visit leading investment banks and asset management firms, our members gain exposure to real-world work environments and obtain an insight into many careers within the financial services industry. We are also further developing our technical skills as a chapter to better prepare our members for their internships and full-time roles. Through participating in the BMC certification, enrolling in Wall Street Prep Courses, and becoming better educated on ESG Investing, we’re striving to improve our chapter as a whole for the benefit of all members.
