Vocal Suspects

The Vocal Suspects is the oldest mixed a cappella group at UMass Amherst. Aside from being self-arranging, self-choreographing, and brimming with enthusiasm for a cappella, all members share two essential characteristics; a deep love for music performance and for one another. We recently took part in the 2021 ICCA Northeast Quarterfinal, so you can check out our video submission with the link attached!

We are planning on recording our fourth studio album during the spring of 2022, and we need your help! Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have had to cancel all of our concerts, gigs, and auditions for the past year. This has only made us more eager to release new music and contribute to the artistic and cultural life at UMass in the coming school year. We are excited to give our new members the experience of recording a professionally produced album and to share this album with you all! We hope that our music can bring a sense of comfort and unity during these unprecedented times.
