Protect Our Breasts

At Protect Our Breasts, we believe the best cure for breast cancer is to avoid a diagnosis altogether. The newest research links exposure to environmental toxins up through a first full-term pregnancy with a breast cancer diagnosis later in life. Our hope? To minimize the toxins found in everyday products and packaging by encouraging brands to remove them and young women to avoid products with them. How do they know? That is our mission - to share about chemicals to look for on labels, new behaviors to adopt to avoid toxins, and digestible tips to protect our breasts. We work with organic brands that are working hard to create a safer marketplace. And... we are doing this while we are in college. The organization and our 50 plus chapters at high schools and colleges is run by one professor and a small team of dynamic Isenberg business and public health students dedicated to this important work.
