In loving memory of UMass Amherst student and IT User Services member Hannah Frilot, this annual scholarship supports an outstanding female or gender non-binary undergraduate student pursuing a STEM field where often their gender is underrepresented.
Hannah Frilot was a hard-working industrial engineering student, one of only a few women in the class of 2015. The forever optimist, Hannah shared her enthusiastic view of life with all members of the UMass Amherst community. Hannah was an advocate for women and supported the Stonewall Center for LGBTQIA students as treasurer of the UMass Amherst Pride Alliance. In all walks of life, she worked to spread awareness of the various and intersecting forms of prejudice, discrimination, and privilege, while promoting equality for all. By donating to the Hannah Frilot Memorial Fund, you will directly help provide financial aid for hard working students following in Hannah’s footsteps.
