UMass Club Water Polo is a student-run organization that competes in the Collegiate Water Polo Association's New England and Colonial divisions. Prior to the pandemic, our most recent men's team placed 2nd in the championships, and our most recent women's team that played in the championships placed 5th overall. The club works to maintain a professional relationship with the league and the other programs in New England. Water polo offers UMass students the ability to remain active, learn a new sport, and foster community through competition.
The club is funded mostly through dues from players and fundraisers such as our home tournament, restaurant fundraisers, and clothing sale. However, this past Spring our team was unable to host our home tournament fundraiser due to the pandemic. This has put stress on the team's financial standing for next season which should be starting back up next Fall. We hope to raise at least $1,000 to recoup some of the money lost from the canceled fundraiser as it will be used to help cover tournament fees, travel costs, and equipment purchases among other expenses. Please help support UMass Club Water Polo, even if you can only give a few dollars. Any donation made to our team will help us out tremendously in the future and will not be taken for granted.
