UMass Women into Leadership

UMass Women into Leadership (UWiL) is a leadership training and professional development program that prepares students from the state’s flagship, public university for public leadership.

By introducing our students to current leaders and providing opportunities for them to see first-hand the benefits of public service, UWiL provides models and pathways into leadership – all while helping to address the gender gap in politics and creating a pipeline from public education into public service.

Your donations support high-quality career preparation and exploration, critical community building, and transformative experiences for undergraduates.

Donations have funded:

our annual UWiL Workshop, a 2 day event that brings public officials and leaders to campus to share their advice and expertise with our students;
our weekly seminars on topics like public speaking, salary negotiation, resilience, and having difficult conversations; and
more than $8,000 in scholarships each year for unpaid internships so that students can take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in a real-world setting.
