Advancing Research for the Health and Well-Being of Families

The Center for Research on Families (CRF) contributes to innovative and evidence-based solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing families today. Through mentoring, workshops, and scholarships, CRF prepares faculty and student researchers to address issues such as:

Cannabis use decision making during pregnancy and lactation
Aging and emotional well being
Barriers to accessing prenatal care
Racial, socioeconomic, and sexual minority health disparities
Trauma interventions for incarcerated youth
Ethnic differences in parenting and child functioning
Sexuality and gender education and empowerment programs for youth
Neurobiological underpinnings of maternal behavior
Age-related changes in sleep-dependent learning.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to increase our support for student researchers. Support our researchers by contributing to the Center for Research on Families during UMassGives.
