AGASA is an association of African Graduate Scholars at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. Our broad vision is to enhance the visibility of African graduate students and scholars on campus, give guidance and support to new African graduate students and scholars.
We do this by promoting professional programs and activities that will strengthen the capacity of African graduate students and scholars to share ideas, network with the UMass community, and other organizations on projects that prioritize African affairs. We regularly host what we call "Brown Bag" presentations that brings African graduate scholars from diverse disciplines to share their research with the broader UMASS community. The money raised will be going towards making these activities possible.
