Stockbridge School of Agriculture
The Stockbridge School of Agriculture asks for your help during UMassGives to support our talented students, dedicated faculty, cutting-edge research, and successful academic programs.
Here’s some of what we’re celebrating:
- UMass Amherst is ranked #1 in the U.S. for Agricultural Sciences, and is the only U.S. school to make the Global Top Ten for 2025-2026 (U.S. News & World Report)
- Our Turfgrass program is the largest in New England, and our associate and bachelor's degree programs are ranked #1 and #2 nationally (collegefactual.com)
- Our Student Farm and Permaculture Initiatives produced 1800 pounds of fresh food for university dining commons, farmer’s markets, and community food pantries.
- The Stockbridge Internship Program, supported by our alumni employer network, leads to high employment rates at graduation.
- Funded by generous alumni, our student teams impressed industry judges by winning top scores at both the Turf Bowl and National Collegiate Landscape Competition.
- Our professors are winning national and international recognitions, including elite fellowship in top professional organizations.
