Each semester, we receive dozens of scholarship applications from nontraditional students in need, who face countless challenges as they work towards their degree. The need is great, but we only have funds to award scholarships to a fraction of students. This is where we need your help.

As we celebrate our 55th anniversary, alumni, friends, faculty, and staff are pulling together as a community to support our students.  All funds we raise during UMassGives 2026 (except those designated for other specific scholarships) will bolster the UWW Completion Fund, established in December to help students who have left college due to financial pressures and unanticipated circumstances return to UMass Amherst to complete their bachelor’s degrees. This will increase the level of support for our students with financial need, so they can complete their degrees, celebrate with their families at graduation, and use those degrees to make the world a better place.

A 55-Year Tradition of Giving Back

Our communal spirit of compassion and generosity has supported UWW students for 55 years. Now it’s time to pay it forward and help the next generation of UWW students access higher education, break barriers, and achieve their goals.

Your Gift Matters

We need your help to make this strong foundation of support for nontraditional students a reality. So give what you can and know that a gift of any amount—no matter how big or how small—will make a difference.

If you give during UWW’s Power Hour from noon - 1p.m. on April 29, your gift will have the greatest impact, helping us win bonus funding:
