The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is a national organization that aims to change lives by empowering the Hispanic/Latinx community to realize their fullest potential and impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development. On the local level, UMass SHPE aims to continue to build the Hispanic engineering familia (community) at UMass Amherst. We offer our members a support system so that they may succeed in all areas of life. To do this our executive board has created workshops to help our members grow as students, engineers, and professionals. We also provide opportunities to network and meet with businesses and corporations.
