LARP’s world-class faculty train students to lead change toward more equitable and resilient communities where people and nature can thrive.

Exciting news! This year, the first 50 gifts of any size made to any of our LARP initiatives will unlock a challenge gift of $50,000 from alumnus John Arnold '86, who will support a LARP student scholarship.
Read below to learn more about LARP's three priority initiatives.
1. Support All LARP Students!
The Frank Waugh Alumni Board Scholarship Fund was founded by the LARP alumni board to provide ongoing support for the next generation of LARP students, including student scholarships, travel to academic and professional conferences, or to provide necessary technology to enhance the student experience. Please help us grow this fund to give our students the best opportunities to build their skills, grow their professional networks, and pursue amazing careers! Help us move toward our $100,000 goal!
2. Support Landscape Architecture Students!
The Garden X Graphite Scholarship was spearheaded by LARP alumni Lauren Stimson ‘06 MRP/MLA and Stephen Stimson ‘83 to help our department recruit and retain socioeconomically disadvantaged students in landscape architecture. Please give to this scholarship to help our department remove barriers and build new bridges for more students in the field of landscape architecture! We’re close to reaching our $200,000 goal!
3. Support Regional Planning Students!
The Mullin Scholarship is an endowment for Master of Regional Planning students at UMass Amherst. This fund was established in honor of Professor Emeritus John Mullin and has been used to recruit and retain top students in the MRP program. Please help us grow this fund to support our future planners!
