Department of Mathematics & Statistics
The department of Mathematics and Statistics is an active and vibrant department that offers instruction in applied mathematics, pure mathematics and statistics. Students can choose from a variety of courses to develop their critical thinking, modeling and problem-solving skills, and data science skills (including machine learning), while obtaining valuable degrees in mathematics and/or statistics.
The department is dedicated to expanding accessibility, providing the best classroom experience, increasing research opportunities with faculty, and providing excellent preparation for exciting, highly sought-after careers.
