One of the department’s continuing priorities is to strengthen the Management Department’s ties to alumni and provide opportunities for alumni engagement. We have established a Young Alumni Working Group and are in the process of finalizing the development of the Management Advisory Council. The Management Department is the driving force behind the formation of the Isenberg Consulting Academy. Inspired by Dean Massey, the Consulting Academy is intended to help students who want to pursue careers in management consulting.
Your gift to the Isenberg Management Department will help us maintain and improve the excellent education and student experience we deliver in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Here in the Management Department, we facilitate a broad array of extra-curricular programming for students, including the Isenberg Management Association, the student club affiliated with the Management Department that allows students to interact with industry leaders and alumni, the Isenberg Ethics Competition, and the Isenberg Ethics Team, among many other opportunities. Additionally, this April 27th we are holding the second annual Isenberg Strategy Summit, which includes the CapSim Business Simulation Competition and the first Isenberg Consulting Academy Case Competition.
While the professors in the Management Department are dedicated to our teaching mission, they have also amassed outstanding records of achievement in research. Our faculty have made numerous and significant contributions to scholarship and practice in both strategy and organizational behavior and are actively involved with the Academy of Management – the leading organization in the field of management studies.
However, we can’t deliver this remarkable professional education to our many deserving students without your help. Your UMassGives contributions can help us support the research of our faculty and PhD students, fund high-need scholarships, connect students with business leaders, support extracurricular activities, sponsor high-impact scholarly conferences, and more.
We aim to acquire 50 gifts and raise $30,000 over these two days. We hope we can count on your support!
Need a little extra incentive to give? Ken Hintlian ‘76 is challenging the management community to get involved and give happy! For every 10 gifts made in support of the department, Ken will generously contribute $5,000 in scholarship support, up to a total of $25,000!
