Accounting Department

Your gift to the Isenberg Accounting Department will help us to continue providing a world-class education and a positive student experience, which we deliver to the hundreds of accounting students in our undergraduate and master's programs. In our accounting programs, Isenberg students:

  • are repeat national champions and national finalists in case competitions sponsored by the world’s largest CPA firms;
  • support the local community with an award-winning Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program;
  • receive internships and full-time career opportunities with the largest and most prestigious CPA firms;
  • are taught by a world-renowned accounting faculty, ranked #1 nationally in auditor judgment and tied for #4 nationally in auditing overall (source: 2021 BYU rankings, past decade, top 6 journals);
  • participate in the International Symposium on Audit Research, a prestigious international conference on auditing research, for which UMass Amherst is the North America host university.

However, we can’t provide a world-class accounting education with these invaluable learning opportunities to our students without your help. Your UMassGives contributions help fund high-need scholarships, connect students with business leaders, support educational and professional activities, and more.

Our goal is to raise $60,000 from 100 gifts over these two days. With your help, we are confident we can achieve this goal!

Your support will also unlock the following donor challenges:

Ivan Yim ’95 challenges the accounting community to get involved and support its students. For every 20 gifts to the Accounting Department, Ivan will generously contribute $5,000 in scholarship support, up to a total of $25,000!

Matthew Davis '03 also challenges the accounting community to get involved and support accounting students! For every $1,000 raised in support of the department, Matthew will unlock $5,000 in scholarship support for accounting students, up to a total of $25,000!

Thank you for your continued support!
