UMassGives 2024 is over, but you can still support UMass Amherst today, or any day, by clicking here!
Legal Studies Program

Your opportunity to give to the Legal Studies Program is here with UMassGives!

Please help us continue to provide student support, guidance, and skills-based opportunities that will enhance the student experience and position students for success after graduation.

Included among our many funding priorities for this year are:

  • Support for internship development and placement in law offices, the judicial system, government offices, public interest organizations, and many others
  • Providing paid research opportunities for students to work directly with faculty members using a hands-on training approach
  • Expanding scholarship funds to provide students the financial support they need and deserve
  • Supporting student-based clubs, hosting visiting lecturers, and holding interactive seminars so that students are immersed in a wide variety of learning opportunities and community engagement across campus.
Your donation to Legal Studies can also help support exciting projects like the Art of Conflict Transformation Event Series which brings scholars, artists, and conflict resolvers to UMass—in Spring 2023 we have had five events on the negotiation, implementation, and legacy of the historic British/Irish Good Friday Agreement to commemorate its 25th anniversary.

Thank you for your consideration,

Lauren McCarthy
Director of Legal Studies
