UMassGives 2024 is over, but you can still support UMass Amherst today, or any day, by clicking here!
Department of Journalism

Support UMass Journalism during this two-day campaign!

We are excited to offer opportunities that give students access to numerous career-focused classes, events, workshops, and invaluable hands-on experiences. With your help, a new generation of students can learn to elevate and sharpen their skills to make journalism more equitable and just for the future of democracy.

Your support will help fund field reporting equipment upgrades and build a new learning space. Investing in these resources will provide a collaborative space for student journalists to refine their craft and use their voices for reporting and storytelling. Your gift will also provide students with annual scholarships, access to events with high-profile alumni and speakers, and stipends for unpaid internships, giving them the financial freedom to pursue their passions for producing, editing, reporting, writing, public relations, sports, photography, video and design.

Journalism is important to our democratic society.

By giving, you can help us provide our students with the technical skills that are vital to preparing them for a tough job market and help us grow experiential learning opportunities that will better equip them with the tools they need to succeed.

Please consider supporting us during #UMassGives with a gift.

Give in any amount - $5, $50, $500, or more. Your donation will directly impact the students working hard to advance their careers as well-rounded and skilled journalists.

Our POWER HOUR is from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. on April 24:
Make an even bigger impact by donating during this hour to assist us in winning an extra $2,000!
