Association for Women in Science

What is Association for Women in Science (AWIS)?

We are an organization that is dedicated to providing support, resources, and encouragement for women in STEM. In addition to providing resources like networking opportunities, career advice, and camaraderie among members, a significant portion of our events involve community outreach. Through our events, we hope to inspire young girls in our local community so that they are not intimidated by nor restricted in following their passions.

explore the science behind creating synthetic snow!

AWIS at Geek is Glam, which is an all day workshop
event where young girl scouts are able to conduct scientific
experiments and expand their interest in STEM.
This year we made eggshell geodes!

RSO Challenge

The participating RSOs (registered student organizations) with the most donors at the end of #UMassGives will receive bonus money! First place will receive $1,000 and second and third places will receive $500 each! Make a gift to your favorite RSO to help them win!
