Commonwealth Honors College

More than 60 percent of UMass Amherst students qualify for need-based financial aid. Generosity from our community of alumni, students, parents, faculty, and staff is essential to keeping an honors education at UMass Amherst open and accessible to as many qualified students as possible. We ask you to support CHC Community Scholarships during UMassGives this year.

CHC Community Scholarships will:

Provide four-year scholarship support to incoming Commonwealth Honors College students with demonstrated financial need,
Preference will be given to first-generation college students and students from underrepresented groups on campus,
Funds will be awarded to a first-year student accepted to UMass Amherst and Commonwealth Honors College entering this fall.

Gifts in any amount will make a difference, as they add up quickly and inspire the generosity of others. Consider making your gift during the Noon – 1:00pm Power Hour on April 27 when the area of campus with the most individual donations will win an additional $2,000.
