Support Undergraduate Research in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department
We have over 700 Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) undergraduate majors in our department with a large portion of those students involved in research. Started in 2017, the Undergraduate Research Fund aims to open doors to a reaching a larger audience and provide networking opportunities for our students.
This new program will help our undergraduate researchers expand their networking opportunities by attending conferences, poster sessions, and other interdisciplinary functions. We would like to be able to provide small travel awards to help defray the costs of attending these conferences, printing posters, and other associated expenses. This fund would also help increase opportunities for the BMB Club which already organizes trips to bio-tech companies, hosts research panels, and much more. The BMB Club has also started some outreach events and would like to continue to bring science to the community!
Support our students by donating to the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department during #UMassGives2018! Thank you to Genesee Scientific, Inc. who has committed to helping our students and has already pledged a donation!
