The mission of KSA is to educate the community on all aspects of Korean cultural, political, and social issues. KSA will work to raise awareness of Korean heritage, to support its members, to have outreach to others in the community, and to preserve the Korean identity. The focal point of KSA is to strive for unity amongst Korean-interest groups and solidarity that ultimately expands beyond a mere Korean association.
In February 2017, the Korean Students Association (KSA) held our first Korean Night, titled “Streets of Seoul,” for the first time in many years. As many other RSO’s hold a big event dedicated to their respective cultures, the members of KSA were extremely excited and proud to finally receive the funding and support to share this event with the community. Streets of Seoul was a night filled with exciting performances and served authentic Korean food. KSA is participating in this year’s UMass Gives in hopes to raise funds for this event, to continuously hold Streets of Seoul and to make it better than the last. Specifically, KSA would like to receive enough funding to invite a guest artist to perform for the event.
