Hello! We are S#arp Attitude, UMass Amherst's only all-female identified* a cappella group. We began as a casual singing ensemble in 2011, but since then have worked hard to develop our sound, image, and repertoire, garnering respect as a top performing group in the Northeast. S#arp Attitude's mission is to change the way society thinks about all-female identified a cappella and to promote dynamic women in the spotlight.
Over the years, S#arp Attitude has transformed into a strong and competitive group. We’ve been featured on Sing It On, an aca-reality show produced by John Legend, following our journey through the 2016 ICCA Championships. We’ve travelled as far as Pittsburgh and as near as UMass itself to perform and compete. We also have a studio album out on Spotify and iTunes (it’s called Déjà Vu—check it out!)
We are so excited to participate in UMassGives this year, in hopes that we can share even more music with you. All the money we raise will go towards recording our sophomore album, which we hope to release in the Fall of 2019. If you liked Déjà Vu, please considering donating! Any contribution you could make to help us reach this goal would be greatly appreciated.
*Auditions are open to any UMass Amherst student who identifies as a woman in a way that is significant to them.
