TASC

TASC is a Chinese performing arts club here at UMass Amherst specializing in the Chinese yoyo or the diabolo. Our main goal is the spread of Asian culture through the choreography, practice, and performance of the Chinese yoyo. We typically achieve this by hosting regular Sunday practices for the public to come learn about Chinese culture and the art of the diabolo, all of which is free as we provide everything from the yoyos themselves to teaching services for complete beginners and for those with experience. These are held primary to our performances for various organizations on and off campus.

Through donations from UMassGives, we wish to receive funds to upkeep our equipment and public/club owned yoyos and supplies. Because of our recent increase in general body and performance group, we are looking to expand in the number of yoyos we have available to properly hold larger public practices for people to join. These funds may also go to maintenance materials, items for our own hosted events, and uniforms for our performers.
