Through our rigorous teaching and research, we continue to prepare our students to tackle today's most pressing issues such as severe economic inequalities, climate change, geopolitical conflicts, and the erosion of cultural heritage aggravated by these crises, and so many more critical topics. This year, our focus is on participation. Whether it’s $5 or $50, every gift helps us create opportunities for our students! We have three initiatives on which we are focusing this year:
• Expanding access to hands-on research and experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students
• Increasing access to field-site research for graduate students which helps accelerate their movement through the program and into their careers
• Providing flexible funding that allows the department to respond to emerging needs and invest directly in student success.
