Fostering a Clean Energy Future in Challenging Times
Last spring, the Trump Administration began rapidly terminating clean energy research across our country. Like many Universities, UMass was hit hard - but we did not fall. Faced with massive cuts, the UMass Energy Transition Institute (ETI) immediately jumped into action and helped secure about $1.2 million in new grants to fund critical clean energy research and graduate student workforce development programs.
In turbulent times, the Energy Transition Institute continues our work fostering a fast and fair transition to a decarbonized energy system in the United States. We execute this mission by supporting interdisciplinary stakeholder-engaged research, innovative education, and effective public engagement at the intersection of energy technology and equity.
Your Support
Federal funding for climate change, renewable energy, and equity research has plummeted at the same time that the climate change is worsening. We cannot solve the climate crisis without a strong research base that informs effective and just public policy. Your donations will support our work on research, education, and engagement at the crossroads of technology and equity. If you value a stable climate, clean energy, and an equitable future please consider supporting the Energy Transition Institute. Thank you for your support!
